Both UETDRMP007 – Perform rescue from a live low voltage panel and UETDRRF004 – Perform rescue from a live LV panel are nationally recognised units related to Low Voltage Rescue (LVR), but they differ based on industry requirements and currency of training packages.
UETDRMP007 – Perform rescue from a live low voltage panel
✔ This is the current and most up-to-date unit from the UET (Electricity Supply Industry – Transmission, Distribution and Rail) training package.
✔ It is commonly required for electricians, apprentices, and workers in the electrical industry.
✔ This course includes CPR (HLTAID009) and focuses on live panel rescue procedures, PPE use, and risk management in electrical environments.UETDRRF004 – Perform rescue from a live LV panel
⚠️ This is a superseded unit and has been replaced by UETDRMP007 in most training contexts.
⚠️ Some older workplaces or job descriptions may still reference this unit, but the industry has largely moved to using UETDRMP007 for compliance.
In summary: If you're looking to meet current industry standards – particularly for electrical compliance or Energex/Ergon contractor work – you should complete UETDRMP007.
Note: CPR (HLTAID009) is included and must be current for LVR currency.
